Session News

November/December 2015

From your session:

Here it is –Thanksgiving Week and then on to Advent!

There is so much going on here at Trinity:

We had a wonderful dinner on the 22nd prepared and served by the men of the church.

Community Council will prepare for our Christmas party at Woodman on the 2nd of Dec. and then have the party on the 5th—donations of gifts are accepted! They will continue with soup lunch on the 6th of December, the Living Nativity on Dec. 16 &17.

Deacons are busy reaching out to our shut-ins.

Property and Finance are diligently working on our budget.

Worship and Music is providing us with Pulpit Supply during Advent.

Session is in the process of connecting with a Presbyterian interim pastor. Negotiations are in progress! We hope to have this much-needed leader here sometime in January.

We have contracted with Rev. Jim Rimmer to assist Trinity with Conflict Resolution. That will begin in January.

The sessions from First, East Side and Trinity are meeting together to discern how we can share in missions here in Ashtabula. One thing we will do is help East Side prepare, pack and distribute sack lunches one Friday a month for Ashtabula school age students who might not have much to eat on weekends. This mission will begin in January. Call Mary Belding if you are interested in assisting!

Trinity is an active, loving, sharing church. What a joy to be part of it!

May we continue to share the blessings of this Advent Season, remembering and sharing the gift of Jesus.

Mary Belding, Clerk
